It is three years since Davido dropped his debut album and many have being anticipating his sophomore album after the success recorded by the first but for the umpteenth time, Davido has postponed his sophomore album release date.
Giving his reason for the latest postponement Davido said:
“Three days to when i was about to release the album, a deal came in. I can’t say but it is a big deal, it’s going to be a ground breaking deal.”
The HKN artist was supposed to release his sophomore album in June. It was to drop as he graduates from university but that failed and a September date was fixed.
Instead of releasing a full album in September, Davido dropped a single titled Dodo on Monday, September 21.
Meanwhile, Ojuelegba crooner, Wizkid, had earlier cancelled the September date of his album release. Wizkid cited the impact 2Face has made in the Nigerian music industry, noting that it would require more commitment to emulate it, hence the need to return to the drawing board.
