Darey has decided to let his fans go behind the scenes of the making of the“Special Fever” music video. Darey released "Special Fever'' last year, a unique R&B/Highlife music that describes the art of love. The beach-themed video was directed by Clarence Peters and features Rita Dominic as the lead female character.

'Doctor’ dies after beer drinking contest in Ondo

A man said to be an auxiliary doctor has lost his life in Ondo after engaging in a beer drinking contest.

The 35-year-old, who was identified simply as “Carbon” gave up the ghost after drinking several cans of an unnamed alcoholic drink.

The incident is said to have occurred at a popular drinking spot after the deceased took up the challenge to drink a certain amount of the drink.

A witness said the deceased had gone to work and at the close of work, decided to relax at the drinking spot close to his clinic in in the company of one of his friends said to be a police officer, before the incident.

Court nullifies collection of toll on Lekki-Ikoyi bridge

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, today nullified the collection of any toll or tariff on the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge.

Ruling on the suit, which was filed by human rights lawyer, Ebun Adegboruwa, presiding judge, Justice Saidu, J. held that the power of control over all navigable waterways in Nigeria resides in the Federal Government, and not any state government.

He held that from all the documents made available to the court, the only justification for the toll fee on the bridge by Lagos State is the private partnership law.

However, he noted that the law could not apply to the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge since it was built with the money of the Lagos State Government, without the involvement of any private partnership.

“Thus, since there is no law supporting the toll fee, it is illegal and should be stopped forthwith”, Justice Saidu said.

Senate confirms Emefiele as new Central Bank Governor

Senate  confirmed the appointment of Mr Godwin Emefiele yesterday as the new Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Emefiele was the Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank before his new appointment. He replaces Sanusi Lamido Sanusi who was suspended by the Federal Government  on February 20th over allegations of financial recklessness and misconduct.
