Manchester City and Ivory Coast star player, Yaya Toure has won the BBC African Footballer of the year award . He beat competition from Yacine Brahimi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Andre Ayew and Sadio Mane to win the coveted award in London today. He last won it in 2013, and has now become the only player to have won the award twice apart from Jay Jay Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo.

3 Year Old Popular South African DJ Accused Of Cheating.

Oratilwe Hlongwane aka DJ Arch Junior, a three-year-old DJ who has taken South Africa and the whole continent by storm has been accused of cheating. Arch's career started out with his father Glen sharing a few videos of him on the decks on Facebook and through social media he became an instant hit. 

Arch has since entered SA's Got Talent and over the past month the young man walked away with the R500 000 prize money and products from Avon and Celltone worth R35 000.

President Buhari May Extend December Deadline For The Boko Haram Sect

President Muhammadu Buhari has said the December deadline he gave to the military to defeat militant Islamist group Boko Haram could be extended. "If there are exigencies that require the modification of the time frame, the federal government will not hesitate to do so," Mr Buhari is quoted as saying by Nigeria's Chief of Defence staff. 

In August, Mr Buhari ordered the military to end the insurgency in the north-east of the country by the end of the year. Although the military has succeeded in taking back most of the territories held by Boko Haram, the militants continue to carry out suicide attacks.

President Muhammadu Buhari has distanced himself from a controversial media bill which activists say will muzzle free speech. “Free speech is central to democratic societies anywhere in the world... without [it], elected representatives won’t be able to gauge public feelings and moods about governance issues," he said in a statement. 
There has been outrage in Nigeria over the bill - currently being debated by the Senate, the upper chamber - which aims to punish anyone who "propagates false information" on electronic media.

#BayelsaDecides; INEC Suspends Collation Of Election Results Indefinitely

The Chief Returning Officer of Bayelsa state gubernatorial election, Prof. Zana Akpagu, has put on hold indefinitely, the collation of the governorship election of Southern Ijaw local government area in the ongoing state governorship election. 
Akpagu while making the announcement, said the results from the local government which is located deep down in the riverine community, is still being awaited.

He explained that he does not know when the Returning Officer from the local government area will come in with the result.

Justin Beiber has replaced himself as number one on the UK Singles chart. Last week, Canadian pop star Justin Bieber was in the top spot with ‘Sorry’ and now he’s still sitting at number one, but this time it’s with single ‘Love Yourself’. Both singles are taken from his latest album Purpose.

Bieber is also dominating the top five, with ‘What Do You Mean’ taking the number four spot. ‘Love Yourself’ racked up 5.97million streams in the UK this week to move up one spot, according to the Official Charts Company.
