Wizkid can do what he likes says:Banky W

It is now clear that singer and CEO of E.M.E record label, Bakole Wellington, also known as Banky W, has finally given up on his super star act, Wizkid, who has announced that he would be quiting the E.M.E record after he drops his album before the end of the year. Wizkid, in a recent interview, disclosed that he would be moving away finally from E.M.E to concentrate on his own record label, Star Boy. Continue....

BankyW who appears not to be bothered about Wizkid’s imminent departure, while reacting to Wizkid’s claim said he would continue to motivate the artistes under his record label as he desires that they all can stand on their own and float their record labels someday.

He said; “Every label executive prays for their artistes to grow to the point when they want to set up their own label and they have the ability to do so. It is a natural progression in music. I signed Wiz and he blew up. Now he is doing ‘Star Boy’ (music label) and that is a good thing. It’s not a bad thing.

The interesting thing is to allow an artist to renegotiate. Wizkid has earned the right to sit at the table to do what he wants to do and I hope all my artistes are as successful as Wizkid.” Wellington said.
