Fayemi takes campaign to Ado-Ekiti Homesteads…Promises rural transformation

Dr. Kayode Fayemi, yesterday took his campaign to farmsteads and rural communities around Ado-Ekiti with the pledge to provide them with more social amenities. The APC candidate said his administration had brought development to the rural areas but promised better life for rural dwellers if re-elected on the June 21, assuring that the second term of his administration would dwell more on rural transformation.The communities visited by thr campaign train included Temidire, Bolorunduro, Ago-Aduloju, Ago-Ologunja and Igirigiri.Shortly before Fayemi arrived at the communities, residents of Ado city centre like lrona, Matthew Street, Odo Ado and Erifun, trooped out in large number to cheer the governor’s campaign train, just as many houses and business centres had the posters of the governor pasted on them. they turned the neighbourhoods to a big carnival Canvassing for votes of the people of Temidire, the governor pledged to construct the major road linking the settlement to other neighboring communities, assuring them that more teachers would be posted to the community’s primary school.Listening to complaints of lack of staff quarters in the basic health centre, Fayemi promised to build residential quarters in the health facility to ensure that 24-hour medical services are rendered.

Making a stopover at Ago Aduloju, residents of the community praised Fayemi for constructing a new bridge over Ogbese River, to replace what was believed to be the oldest bridge in the state which had been left in state of disrepair for several decades.

The people of Ago Aduloju also praised Fayemi for constructing the road over the bridge despite the fact that the road is a federal road which leads to Ikare, promising to look into the construction of speed-breakers on the road to check dangerous driving and prevent avoidable deaths of members of the community.

The APC standard-bearer urged residents of the community to vote “for a government that loves the masses and is ready to work for the people”.

Fayemi said, “You have to vote for a government that loves the masses and a government that is ready to work for you. The APC government is ever ready to work for you. “If you play your own role by voting for us, we will play our own role by carrying out our responsibilities of providing good governance.”

Responding to a request for a secondary school in the community, Fayemi advised the people to immediately direct their request to the Office of the Deputy Governor for prompt action by the governmen
