Shirtless Justin Bieber displays his pecs appeal and tattooed biceps while relaxing on a yacht... but where's Selena Gomez?

                                 

He was spotted with his on/off girlfriend Selena Gomez in Miami on Tuesday but she was nowhere to be seen on Wednesday as Justin enjoyed a day off. 

The 20-year-old pop continued his bid to cultivate his new bad boy image, as he took to Instagram to show off his tattoos. 

The Beauty And A Beat hit-maker flaunted his inklings in a new shirtless snap, also displaying his bulging pectoral muscles and toned abdomen, as the camera angle made his biceps appear larger.

Meanwhile, his Calvin Klein underwear peeped out from under his trousers, while a large watch decorated his left wrist and a pendant hung from around his neck.

Justin gazed at the camera with a furrowed brow as he toyed with his cell phone, while kicking back in a comfortable chair aboard what appears to be a yacht.

A body of water, two large cranes, and a smattering of buildings are visible in the distance. 

Justin is currently in Miami and while it's not clear who took the photograph, his on/off girlfriend Gomez was seen at a recording studio with him just the night before.

                                 

He tweeted on Wednesday, 'A little sunshine never hurt anybody.'

It was likely a welcome break, as Justin has been hard at work in the recording studio, and updating his 50.8 million Twitter followers on his progress. 

'I got some big things planned,' he tweeted, followed by 'Making the best music I ever made.'

Justin is even recording a collaboration with Selena's former rumoured love interest Austin Malone, 18, who has been dubbed the new Bieber.

                         

Things are looking up for Justin, as it's said that he is set to reach a plea deal which would see him escape some of the harsher sentences he could have faced after being accused of driving under the influence and drag racing in Miami earlier this year. 

According to TMZ, prosecutors will drop the three charges he's facing - driving under the influence, resisting arrest without violence and driving without a license - if he pleads no contest to reckless driving.  

In addition, they claim that prosecutors have also backed down on their request for Justin to undergo random drug testing.
