APC Leaders Meet Lawyers in Abuja to Settle the Saga in Kogi

Leaders of APC are converging on Abuja on Tuesday to settle what some are saying is a likely constitutional crisis created by the death of it's candidate in Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu.

The meeting, which will be attended by members of the party’s National Working Committee, may direct the APC National Secretary, Mai Buni, to formally write INEC, informing the commission about the death of the Kogi governorship candidate.

What Buhari Has To Say About Audu Abubakar’s Death

President Muhammadu Buhari has today, Monday, November 23, revealed that the news of the death of Audu Abubakar, the All Progressives Congress’ guber candidate in Kogi got him devastated.

According to The Punch, Buhari said this in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

The president who received the news in shock was quoted as saying: “We are obviously devastated at the loss. He was immensely courageous.”

Bayelsa Guber Race: MEND Warns Presidency Against Rigging

       
The presidency has been warned to stay clear of the forthcoming Bayelsa guber race, the warning was issued by the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND).

MEND warned the presidency against any attempt to rig the December 5, 2015, governorship election in Bayelsa state.

The group’s advise was disclosed in a statement issued by its acting chairman, Prince Amaibi Horby (aka General Busta Rhymes) and 12 others on Sunday, November 22, in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

Confusion in Kogi: What INEC Will Do Following Audu's Death

Kogi State APC governorship candidate Prince Abubakar Audu has died after taking ill on Saturday. He was 68. But the unexpected turn of event has thrown up some serious political controversies.

Audu was leading by 41,000 votes (he scored 240,867) ahead of incumbent Governor Idris Wada of PDP who scored 199,514 votes.

But INEC declared the exercise inconclusive, saying there would be supplementary election in 91 units — a decision that has been condemned by senior legal experts as “simply wrong”.

Family sources have revealed how APC governorship candidate, Audu Abubakar died yesterday Sunday November 22nd, hours before INEC declared the state governorship election inconclusive. A member of the late politicians family said Audu started vomiting blood on Saturday November 21st, the day of the election. He was so weak and had blood transfusion to enable him go to his polling unit to vote.

Police arrest 21 homosexual students in Asaba, Delta State

Police men in Asaba, Delta State, have arrested 21 students who are allegedly homosexuals.

According to Punch, a reliable source said that two state-owned polytechnics (names withheld) where the suspects were arrested, were popular with homosexual activities for financial gains.
