Photos: APC Governors visit Nyanya bomb blast victims
APC Governors including Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, Babatunde Fashola of Lagos, Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto, Murtala Nyako of Adamawa, Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara and Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, yesterday April 16th paid a visit to Monday morning Nyanya blast victims at the Asokoro General Hospital in Abuja.
They sympathized with the patients and condemned the incessant attacks going on in the country. During a brief press statement that followed their visit, the governors asked the federal Government to step up in its responsibilities as regards security of every citizen. Kogi state Speaker's children kidnapped this morning
Two of the children of the Kogi State House of Assembly Speaker, Alhaji Momoh-Jimoh Lawal have been kidnapped. The children aged 7 and 3 were kidnapped this morning around 4am from the Speaker's residence at Okengwe in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi state.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Austin Akubo, the three kidnappers gained entrance into the house through a broken fence.

Actress, Genevieve Nnaji Shares Her Thoughts On The Abuja Bomb Blast
Actress Genevieve Nnaji and some of her colleagues have expressed sadness over the bomb blast that occurred in Abuja on Monday, April 14, 2014.
Genevieve, Rita Dominic, Emem Isong, Omoni Oboli and few others took to different social media platforms to express their dissatisfaction at the loss of lives in such a gruesome manner.
In Nnaji’s post on Instagram, she put up a picture of a burning candle with the caption, ‘May the souls of our brothers and sisters..who had this mornings gift of life taken from them without mercy, rest with The Lord Almighty. Amen!’.
Oboli wrote on her Twitter, ‘…another sad day for the country. May God rest the souls of the departed. My heart goes out to their families and friends.’
The sad incident, which occurred at the Nyanya motor park in Abuja, has since become a trending topic on the internet.
According to Nigerian Tribune, a total of 71 have been recorded dead and 124 injured….
Police arrest twins for robbery, burglary
A set of twins, Taiye and Kehinde Balogun, (pictured above) have been arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Lagos for robbing a factory belonging to Reckitt Benckiser, Punch reports.
Police authorities said the brothers, who were welders, were hired by a robbery gang to break into the company's warehouse in May last year. The robbery gang robbed the company of soap, noodles and chemicals worth N17million.
They were arrested, after much investigation, in February 2014. How sad for their parents. Continue.

Bomb blast at Abuja bus station kills several people this morning
Oh dear. This is not good. Two blasts at Nyanya Motor Park on the outskirts of Abuja this morning April 14th has killed several people with many injured.
The blast occurred at the crowded bus station around 6.30am today during rush hour as commuters were about to board buses and taxis to go to work in central Abuja. Two buses full of people were struck. It is believed that one of the buses, which was parked overnight at the motor park, was loaded with the bomb that went off this morning.
The explosion occurred in a section of Nyanya park allocated to luxury buses popularly called “El-Rufa’i buses.”
An eyewitness said he saw at least 50 bodies being removed from the scene..
"This morning there was an explosion at the Nyanya Motor Park," Manzo Ezekiel of the National Emergency Management Agency said. "Rescue teams are on the ground"
